OK then, here we go...

1) I (like Maz08) also have to wear a particular perfume on Liverpool match days - Hugo XX and if they win, the following day, CK Euphoria. (Haven't been wearing that much lately....)

2) I have the worst habit of becoming totally addicted to every reality show on tv in a really unhealthy way. Latest is CBB, dancing on ice, got to dance, so you think you can dance, american idol.... (see where I'm going with this!!)

3) I don't get hangovers - ever. A mild headache for about 30 minutes when I wake up is the extent of it.

4) I've seen Britney Spears in concert four times...

5) I bruise easily. I could literally nudge something and be black and blue for weeks.

6) I am terrified of birds. When a bird swoops down from the sky I actually scream and shriek as if I was being attacked in a horror movie also terrifying all the people around me.

7) I own over 40 pairs of shoes, yet only have two pairs I can wear to work and absolutely no boots which made walking everywhere in the ice and snow last week rather life endangering! The rest are all my babies, my pride and joy's, sandals, stilettos, wedges, etc. The higher the better!!

Well I did it guys. I don't know if any of you remember a few months ago I was talking about my little crush on Rob Kearney who plays rugby for Leinster and Ireland. Anyway, last night I met him in town!!!!! He and his friends were so nice and chatted for ages and he was nice enough to pose for (several!) pics with me!! Absolutely made my week!!

Onto the randomness, I was NOT watching Big Brother this year. Sure I knew the housemates names, I heard a few things about the goings on in the house but didn't really care much. But suddenly, out of nowhere, I have fallen in love with Charlie and Rodrigo!! Sooo cute!

I'm also going on holidays on Saturday. To Majorca. Where a bomb went off today. Interesting....

Saw the new Harry Potter movie last night and absolutely loved it! Very serious in some parts, but hilarious in others! Everyone should go see it!!

Also changed my avi - saw a pic last night and had to have it as my avi!

Well I'm back from a fabulous week in the Algarve. The villa we stayed in was beautiful, the pool was brilliant and the local town was gorgeous, quiet but that's exactly what we wanted.

Cliff Richard owns a vineyard there - his wine is disgusting if anyone is ever going to try it! :D

Went to Aqualand and Zoomarine (where Stevie and Alex took the girls) which was a great day out. Honestly there for seven hours with so much to do the time simply flew in. Loved all the attractions what with the pools, the slides, the shows and the mini fairground I could've stayed another seven hours!

Sad to be home now but have to get back to reality especially have to face up to work in the morning - ugh!!

Congrats to my lovely Xabi and his beautiful new wife, the pictures did not do either of them justice!

Well I officially have 6 more days in work and then have 11 days off! And what better way to spend some of my time off but by going to Liverpool! 5 glorious days away in my favourite place after (hopefully) cheering Leinster onto Heineken Cup glory the weekend before!! Cannot wait! :D

Stevie was just talking on Sky Sports about how he loves playing with Xabi, can't remember what else he said - too busy jumping up and down. I'll transcribe it later on! :D

Ok hopefully this will cheer my friends up! Stevie was in the studio with Alan Smith (former Arsenal) and Jamie Redknapp at Anfield tonight and Richard Keys asked him how important Xabi is to the team.

Stevie said "Basically he's been our player of the year, I think, from the first game up until now he's been top class. I think everyone knows the range of passing that he's got but what many don't know is how good he is positionally and the job he does for the team defensively as well as when we've got the ball."

They went on asking about Gareth Barry and how Xabi may have left Liverpool last summer. Jamie said he would have been a huge loss if he had left.

Steven was nodding his head in agreement and said " He's easy to play with, he's a clever player and I love it when he's in the team because I know I'm going to get a lot of the ball. It's as if he's on the same wavelength as myself and I love playing with him, it's a pleasure to play with him."

Later he was talking about great players and Alan Smith was laughing at him because he named Xabi, Xavi, Iniesta and Fabregas (all Spanish!) as when they're on top of their game he said they're unplayable which is why they're the best in Europe!

Wow - what a match! That was amazing, so sad for the result but amazing match!!

THERE were times last summer when Xabi Alonso thought he had pulled on a Liverpool shirt for the final time.

As Rafa Benitez chased the £18million capture of Gareth Barry, the Spanish playmaker’s days at Anfield appeared numbered.

Juventus and Arsenal were linked with the midfielder but the refusal of owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett to sanction a deal for Barry meant Alonso stayed put.

If the 27-year-old was left feeling unwanted, the backing he received from Reds fans helped restore his spirits.

The saga made him vow to prove his manager wrong and Alonso has looked like a man on a mission this season.

Breaking up attacks and picking out the perfect pass, he has been instrumental in Liverpool’s push for glory at home and abroad.

Alonso is in the form of his life and relishing the prospect of playing his part in another famous European night at Anfield.

“When I was going through those moments of uncertainty a lot of fans supported me,” he said.

“They would say ‘we want you to stay, but at the end of the day, if you don’t, we wish you all the best and we are happy that you have been here’.

“I am very grateful for that. I am here now and very happy to be here. There is no other club like Liverpool.

“To feel Anfield on your back, the noise, it’s such a huge feeling, especially on the big nights.

“You’re automatically filled with that passionate energy and you always feel much better.

“It’s something Anfield provides more than any other stadium in the world.”

This is the fifth successive season Liverpool have met Chelsea in the Champions League.
Luis Garcia’s goal famously settled their semi-final tie in 2005 before the sides played out two goalless draws in the group stage of the 2005/6 campaign.

There was penalty joy for the Reds in 2007 as they booked their trip to Athens but Chelsea triumphed last season when they won the semi-final 4-3 on aggregate.

Remarkably, since Alonso arrived at Anfield from Real Sociedad in the summer of 2004, the clubs have met on 22 occasions.

“We know each other very well and because of that we don’t have many secrets,” Alonso admitted.

“It’s a bit strange that in five seasons we have played against each other five times (in Europe), and because of that it can add a little bit more motivation. It’s going to be an exciting tie.”

The Reds did the double over Chelsea in the league this season with Alonso netting the winner at Stamford Bridge in October.

However, since their last meeting at Anfield in February, Chelsea have enjoyed something of a revival under new boss Guus Hiddink.

Alonso said: “Hiddink is a new face and he has brought his new methods but I think overall the team is the same. It’s going to be as tough as it has been in the past. They are a very compact and very strong side.

“Now they have the strength of Michael Essien, it is a great addition for them. We know that playing with Obi Mikel, Michael Ballack and Frank Lampard, they have strong and powerful people in the middle of the park.

“But we are going to try and bring our qualities and we have a great balance with the three of us in the middle and hopefully we will win that battle.”

Liverpool have made a habit of winning battles recently with a run of five successive wins in all competitions.

Alonso admits the Reds took great belief from their stunning 4-0 demolition of Real Madrid at Anfield in the last round.

“In February the results weren’t as good as we hoped, but the Champions League tie against Real Madrid was a very big challenge for us,” he said.

“To go through as we did, to play as well as we did, it was a boost for our confidence.

“Since then the momentum of the team has been improving and now we are in a good run of form.”
